Established in 1976 with the combined efforts of the municipalities of Pipestone and Albert, the Reston District Library moved from a rented facility to its permanent home in 1992.
As of January 1, 2015, the library continues to enjoy providing services to the R.M. of Pipestone and the new R.M. of Two Borders created through the amalgamation of the R.M. of Arthur, the R.M. of Edward and the R.M. of Albert.
